
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma announced that over one lakh students will receive scholarships on March 6 to mark eight years of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government. Speaking during the budget discussion, Sangma highlighted efforts to improve academic outcomes, especially in rural areas, through guidebooks designed to boost pass rates in Secondary School Leaving Certificate exams. The initiative aims to support students who struggle academically and reduce dropout rates after class 10 failures.
