The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has reinstated the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh's authority to appraise and approve projects up to Rs 100 crore. This restoration follows a withdrawal of these powers, along with those of Administrative Secretaries, just a month prior. The delegated powers will be exercised in consultation with the Finance Secretary or equivalent and are subject to budgetary availability. Details of approved proposals must be submitted quarterly to the Department of Expenditure.
