
The opposition Congress party in Kerala has accused the ruling CPI(M)-led government of misusing public funds for political campaigning ahead of upcoming assembly polls. Leader of Opposition V.D. Satheesan alleged that the government is spending crores from the state exchequer to fund party volunteers for door-to-door campaigns highlighting alleged achievements. Congress has warned of legal and political action if the exercise, which they claim is electioneering at government expense, is not withdrawn.
