NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) leader Azam Pansare has expressed a desire for an alliance with the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP for upcoming Pune Municipal Corporation elections. This follows a meeting between Pansare and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. Both NCP factions have reportedly decided to contest municipal elections together. This reunion marks the first time the factions will contest an election together since Ajit Pawar's 2023 split from Sharad Pawar's NCP. Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat expressed confidence in Sharad Pawar's decisions.
