The new LDF-led municipal council in Neyyattinkara, headed by Chairperson W.R. Heeba, prioritizes efficient waste management and leveraging opportunities from the Vizhinjam International Seaport for employment generation and infrastructure development. The council also aims to continue existing projects, address the need for new playgrounds, and establish elderly daycare centers. The LDF secured 25 out of 46 seats in the municipal council.
