
Preparations for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls are advancing in Delhi and Mizoram ahead of the Election Commission of India's nationwide exercise across 22 States and Union Territories. Delhi has mapped voters and is filling vacant Assistant Returning Officer posts, with political parties cooperating to assist voters and address ineligible entries. Mizoram has completed groundwork, including rationalising polling stations and training election officials, to update voter rolls comprehensively for the first time since 2004.
