The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) plans to restore the iconic Subhash Bridge over the Sabarmati River and construct two new two-lane bridges on either side. Following a structural inspection revealing cracks, the existing bridge will be closed for restoration, estimated at Rs 110 crore. The overall project, including new bridges, is projected to cost Rs 250 crore. This initiative aims to address rising city traffic and future demand, with tenders expected soon.
