
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its debut in the upcoming civic elections in Bhiwandi and Navi Mumbai, aiming to field candidates for the maximum number of seats. The party has begun screening candidates for the Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation and plans to contest 111 seats in Navi Mumbai and 100 in Thane. AAP leaders stated their campaign will focus on civic issues like roads, water, sanitation, and alleged corruption, promising a governance model of transparency and public welfare, similar to Delhi and Punjab. Voting is scheduled for January 15.
