Prashant Jagtap, former Pune NCP (SP) chief and a supporter of Sharad Pawar, has announced his departure from the NCP (SP). He cited prioritizing his voters' interests in Wanowrie as the reason for leaving, especially amid potential alliances with the Ajit Pawar-led NCP faction for upcoming Pune Municipal Corporation polls. Jagtap is reportedly in talks to join the Congress party and contest the civic elections, aiming to avoid confusing his supporters.
