Gujarat's Director General of Police, Vikas Sahay, retired on Wednesday after his six-month extension concluded. Senior IPS officer KLN Rao, from the 1992 batch and currently heading Gujarat CID (Crime and Railways), has been appointed as the in-charge DGP until further orders. Sahay, a 1989-batch IPS officer, had taken over as DGP in March 2023.
