Delhi High Court Directs LG to Establish Enforcement Mechanism for School Tribunal Orders

The Delhi High Court has directed the lieutenant governor to develop an enforcement mechanism for orders issued by the Delhi School Tribunal within three months. The tribunal, established under the Delhi School Education Act, hears appeals from private school employees regarding employment disputes. The court expressed concern over the absence of rules enabling execution of tribunal orders and urged the government to frame appropriate rules or adopt other legal measures to empower the tribunal. The directive followed a petition by NGO Justice for All highlighting gaps in the current legal framework.
