The upcoming Pune Municipal Corporation polls have seen candidates with alleged criminal ties or relationships to individuals accused of crimes nominated by major parties. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) nominated Jayashree Marne, wife of gangster Gajanan Marne. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fielded Pratibha Chorghe, wife of criminal Rohidas Chorghe, and Swati Mohol, wife of slain gangster Sharad Mohol. Other candidates with criminal cases or family links to accused individuals have also filed nominations.
