The Haryana government has reassigned eight police officers, including two IPS and six HPS officials. IPS officer Ganga Ram Punia will serve as SP, Anti-Corruption Bureau, and Narender Bijarniya is the new SP for Karnal. Bijarniya's previous transfer from Rohtak SP in October followed allegations of caste discrimination and harassment made by a deceased IPS officer, Y Puran Kumar, who named Bijarniya and another senior officer in his final note.
