Jaishankar Consults Saudi and UAE Ministers on West Asia Conflict and Energy Security

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held phone talks with Saudi Arabia's Faisal bin Farhan and UAE's Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan regarding the escalating conflict in West Asia amid rising Iran-US tensions. Discussions included regional developments and India's energy security, as global oil and gas prices surged following Iran's effective blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. India, chairing the expanded BRICS group that now includes Iran and the UAE, faces the challenge of building consensus on the conflict within the bloc.
