India Rejects China-Pakistan Statements on Jammu and Kashmir, Opposes CPEC Projects
India strongly rejected references to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in a recent joint statement by China and Pakistan, reaffirming these Union Territories as integral and inalienable parts of India. The Ministry of External Affairs emphasized that no other country has the locus standi to comment on these internal matters. India also opposed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects passing through territories it claims are under Pakistan's illegal occupation, and dismissed references to trans-boundary water cooperation between China and Pakistan, noting the absence of a shared boundary.
