The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has completed the reconstruction and widening of a 9.3-km stretch of the Delhi-Meerut Road from Meerut Tiraha to Duhai's Eastern Peripheral Expressway. Originally 7 meters wide, the dual carriageways have been expanded to 10.5 meters each, improving capacity and safety. Nearly 6 km of new drainage systems were installed to address chronic waterlogging. The upgraded road, maintained by NCRTC since 2018 during the Namo Bharat corridor construction, has been handed over to the Public Works Department (PWD) for ongoing management.
