The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Chandigarh Bench, to resolve within three months the dispute over whether certain power employees should be considered part of the Chandigarh Administration or Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL). The court stayed CAT's interim status quo order from January 29, 2026, and mandated completion of pleadings within four weeks. Both parties were urged to cooperate and avoid unnecessary delays, with provisions allowing remedies if any prejudicial orders arise during proceedings.
