Speaking at the inauguration of a medium-calibre ammunition facility by Solar Industries, he praised the private sector's growing role in defence production and research, noting policy reforms that enhanced participation. Singh emphasized India's progress towards self-reliance and becoming a major arms exporter, citing increased defence exports and technological advancements like the Nagastra drone used in Operation Sindoor. He also stressed the need for preparedness given regional uncertainties.
