Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that old age pensions under the NTR Bharosa scheme will be disbursed a day early, on December 31, as a New Year's gesture. Over 63 lakh beneficiaries will receive their pensions, with the state government releasing over Rs 2,700 crore for this distribution. Naidu highlighted the government's commitment to financial security for the poor, noting that over Rs 50,000 crore has been spent on pensions since the current coalition government took office.
