India's Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has approved defense procurement proposals worth approximately Rs 79,000 crore. The approvals cover a range of equipment for the Army, Navy, and Air Force, including loitering munitions, long-range rockets for the Pinaka system, advanced radars, drone detection and interdiction systems, air-to-air missiles like Astra Mk-II, and high-frequency radios. These acquisitions aim to enhance precision strike capabilities, improve surveillance, and bolster overall combat readiness across the armed forces.
