The Punjab government reports creating over 59,000 permanent government jobs since April 2022, alongside facilitating private sector employment and self-employment initiatives. Minister Aman Arora stated that 48,912 individuals found jobs in the private sector and 10,064 were supported towards self-employment. The state has also expanded skill development programs through its own schemes and partnerships with tech companies to retain youth talent within Punjab.
