Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, after visiting the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, alleged that "some people" had previously turned Ayodhya into a place of unrest and conflict through appeasement politics. Speaking at a public gathering, he credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling a centuries-old aspiration by building the Ram Mandir. Adityanath's remarks were made during a visit to Ayodhya following the second anniversary of the Ram Lalla's Pran Pratishtha.
