The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), a key constituent of Kerala's UDF opposition, announced it will prioritize young leaders in the upcoming Assembly elections. Party president Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal stated this aligns with a global trend and that the IUML has a history of successful young candidates. This follows a similar announcement by the Congress party, which pledged 50% of its seats to women and youth. The elections for the 140-member Kerala Assembly are expected between March and April.
