Bombay High Court Directs Strict Action Against Nylon Manja Use in Maharashtra

The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court criticized the Maharashtra government for its inaction on banning nylon manja, a synthetic kite string, ahead of Makar Sankranti. The court directed police and civic bodies to strictly enforce existing laws against its sale and use, noting 14 other states have already enacted bans. Authorities are ordered to remain vigilant for a month and submit compliance reports on actions taken.
