Manipur CM Seeks Elevated Imphal Highway and Rs 12,000 Crore National Highway Upgrade

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi to seek prioritization of an elevated highway in Imphal and a Rs 12,000-crore project to upgrade 1,774 km of national highways by 2026-27. Singh updated Gadkari on ongoing and proposed road projects, urging swift action to ease traffic congestion. Gadkari assured full support and positive consideration of the state's proposals. Singh was accompanied by Deputy Chief Ministers Nemcha Kipgen and Losii Dikho during the meeting.
