A Srinagar court has ordered the framing of charges against National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and others in the alleged Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) scam case, scheduling the matter for March 12, 2026. The court also rejected the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) application to join the case, stating that the ED lacks legal standing since the case is investigated and prosecuted by the CBI without any scheduled offence under the Indian Penal Code, which was repealed effective July 1, 2024.
