Trinamool MLA Soham Chakraborty Served Legal Notice Over Alleged Film Loan Default

Bengali actor-turned-Trinamool Congress MLA Soham Chakraborty has been served a legal notice over an alleged loan default related to a film project. Chakraborty reportedly received Rs 68 lakh from Shahid Imam in 2021 for producing the film 'Manik Jod,' which did not progress beyond initial stages. While Chakraborty acknowledged partial repayment and pledged to return the remaining amount, he described the notice's timing as politically motivated. The outstanding sum is estimated at Rs 43 lakh.
