Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores have been captured in Caracas by the U.S. military following large-scale strikes. Maduro, who has been on a U.S. bounty since 2020, with the reward doubled in 2025, has long been sought by the U.S. government, which has accused him of narco-terrorism. His personal security detail had previously thwarted multiple attempts on his life, including a 2018 drone attack.
