Delhi Introduces New Drainage Master Plan and GPRA Housing Redevelopment Projects

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the introduction of a new Drainage Master Plan after nearly 50 years to address pollution and waterlogging issues in the city, especially during monsoon. The initiative, supported by the central government, was highlighted during the inauguration of the Majlis Park-Maujpur Babarpur Corridor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated 2,722 new flats and laid foundations for 6,632 more under the Rs 15,200 crore GPRA redevelopment plan, aiming to replace aging government housing colonies without public funding.
