
Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that around 200 Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, and Jain refugees from Pakistan and Afghanistan have been granted Indian citizenship under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Speaking in Uttarakhand, he emphasized these refugees have equal rights to India as Prime Minister Modi and criticized opposition parties for opposing the CAA. Shah also pledged to remove all infiltrators from India, from Kedarnath to Kanyakumari, and praised Uttarakhand's government for implementing the Uniform Civil Code and clearing land encroachments.
