West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee criticized the central government and the Election Commission of India for allegedly excluding Matua community voters from electoral rolls through the Special Summary Revision (SSR) process. She accused the BJP of creating uncertainty about the citizenship and identity of the Matua, a Hindu backward class community concentrated in North 24 Parganas and Nadia districts.
