Maharashtra Cabinet Approves EV Toll Relief Extension and Key Infrastructure Projects

The Maharashtra cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, extended the toll exemption for electric vehicles on the Atal Setu by one year and approved key infrastructure projects following the BJP-led Mahayuti's civic poll victory. Decisions include sanctioning 1,000 electric buses for Pune, revising costs for the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP-2), establishing a multi-modal hub for fruits and vegetables in Thane, and approving the Mumbai Police Housing Township project with 45,000 homes. The cabinet also restructured posts in the Directorate of Economics and Statistics and waived a premium for a plot in Navi Mumbai for a temple construction.
