
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has approved a major project at Bharathiar University to develop novel antidotes for highly toxic organophosphorous compounds. With a sanctioned budget of 99.15 lakh, the research will be conducted under the DRDO Industry Academia - Centre of Excellence. Led by Professor N Jayakumar and Co-Principal Investigator Dr S Suja, the team aims to enhance India's chemical defence preparedness through systematic investigations.
