SGPC Retires Golden Temple Head Granthi Following Unsubstantiated Corruption Claims

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) retired Golden Temple's head granthi, Giani Raghbir Singh, after he failed to provide evidence supporting his corruption allegations against the SGPC and the Shiromani Akali Dal. Singh had accused the SGPC of irregularities involving unauthorized land sales and fund mismanagement. The SGPC cited his non-compliance with service rules, lack of evidence, and minimal performance of religious duties as reasons for his retirement. SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami denied the allegations and emphasized the committee's commitment to transparency.
