PWD Plans Feasibility Study and Skywalk to Decongest East Delhi Roads

The Public Works Department (PWD) plans to conduct a feasibility study to decongest key east Delhi roads including Geeta Colony Road, Mother Dairy Road, and Patparganj Road. A skywalk is proposed at the congested Laxmi Nagar intersection to improve pedestrian movement, with financial approval received and tenders to be floated soon. Additionally, extensive recarpeting and footpath revamps are planned to ease traffic, while the study will explore corridor improvements such as underpasses or flyovers to address heavy congestion.
