
A Mumbai sessions court warned nine Tata Institute of Social Sciences students seeking anticipatory bail that their involvement in a criminal case related to an unauthorized event commemorating GN Saibaba's death anniversary could harm their future careers. The students face charges including unlawful assembly and causing enmity, based on a complaint by the TISS administration. Saibaba, acquitted in a UAPA case, died in October 2024. The court highlighted that a criminal record could affect employment prospects nationwide.
