The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) recovered Rs 11.69 crore in outstanding property tax from a private hotel firm in Paschim Vihar, west Delhi. The property was under liquidation, and the owner had defaulted on payments. After formal action and a demand notice, the taxpayer cleared dues by opting for MCD's property tax amnesty scheme, which waives interest and penalties for dues before 2020-21. The scheme's deadline was extended to February 28.
