West Bengal's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls continued for a second day, with large numbers of "unmapped" voters attending hearings across 3,234 centers. These voters, unable to link to the 2002 electoral roll, are required to prove their identity and citizenship. The process follows the deletion of over 58 lakh names from draft rolls due to death, migration, or missing forms. Many elderly and disabled individuals expressed distress at having to re-establish their eligibility, with some facing challenges due to documentation issues.
