Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo and Justice Mahesh Sharadchandra Sonak have been appointed as the new Chief Justices of Patna and Jharkhand High Courts, respectively. The appointments, approved by President Droupadi Murmu, follow recommendations from the Supreme Court Collegium. Justice Sahoo, previously a judge at the Orissa High Court, is expected to bring stability to the Patna High Court. Justice Sonak, a judge at the Bombay High Court, will assume his new role on January 8.
