VK Sasikala Launches New Dravidian Party Ahead of Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections

Expelled AIADMK leader V.K. Sasikala announced the launch of a new Dravidian political party on former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's birth anniversary, unveiling a flag featuring portraits of Annadurai, M.G. Ramachandran, and Jayalalithaa. She criticized current AIADMK leadership, particularly Edappadi K. Palaniswami, accusing him of betrayal and weakening the party. Though barred from contesting elections until 2027 due to a corruption conviction, Sasikala emphasized her party's commitment to the poor and marginalized and vowed to challenge existing political forces in Tamil Nadu ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls.
