He believes the Congress leadership's half-hearted approach, lack of joint campaigning, and dismissal of controversial issues led to the alliance's failure to gain momentum, despite the Congress allocating 62 seats to VBA in Mumbai. Ambedkar suggested this missed opportunity could have been beneficial for the Congress.
