The Supreme Court has issued a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to enhance court management and expedite the delivery of justice. The SOP mandates that lawyers, including senior advocates, must submit timelines for oral arguments at least a day before a hearing. Additionally, they are required to file a brief written submission of no more than five pages, after serving a copy to the opposing side, at least three days prior to the hearing. This initiative aims to ensure strict adherence to fixed timelines for oral arguments.
