The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has been reorganized into 10 zones, with new Zonal Offices set to begin operations on January 1, 2026. This restructuring, approved by the State government, expands the previous eight zones. GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg has directed Zonal Commissioners to ensure independent functioning of these offices, systematic transfer of files, and clear communication to the public about ward and secretariat allocations.
