
Maharashtra Cooperation Minister Babasaheb Patil informed the state assembly that over six lakh eligible farmers have yet to receive benefits under the 2017 farm loan waiver scheme, with processes underway to extend relief. Under two schemes, over 76 lakh farmers have received loan waivers. A high-level committee is analyzing data on overdue loans and has yet to submit its report. The government has also approved funds for the scheme and issued loan restructuring and moratorium measures for farmers affected by 2025 kharif season floods.
