
More than a month after Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury brought a dog into Parliament's winter session, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) clarified that pets are not allowed inside the Parliament complex. The CISF stated that MPs have privileges allowing unrestricted entry without vehicle searches, and it is up to parliamentarians to follow the rules. Authorities have been sensitising legislators about this regulation since the December 1, 2025 incident, which was addressed by senior parliamentary officials.
