Karnataka Police will establish 15 temporary rest centers in Bengaluru for New Year's Eve to assist individuals who are heavily intoxicated and unable to reach home safely. The initiative, announced by Home Minister G Parameshwara, aims to prevent accidents, assaults, and ensure public safety. Police will intervene only with those severely inebriated, offering them a safe space to sober up. Special measures are also in place to enhance women's safety during the celebrations.
