Union Minister Nityanand Rai visited Puducherry to review the implementation of central welfare schemes and new criminal laws. He was briefed by local officials, including Lt Governor K Kailashnathan and Chief Minister N Rangasamy. The Chief Minister highlighted his government's efforts in providing basic amenities, eradicating poverty, and increasing pensions, while criticizing the previous administration's handling of social welfare programs.
