Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced an inquiry into the previous BRS government's decision to shift the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy lift irrigation scheme (PRLIS) source from Jurala to Srisailam backwaters. Reddy alleged this change, which increased project costs from ₹32,000 crore to ₹84,000 crore and added stages and pumps, prioritized commissions over public interest. He also claimed the BRS government avoided assembly discussion on the matter and highlighted disparities in Krishna River water utilization between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
