
Following a ropeway collapse during a trial run in Rohtas, Bihar, the state government has suspended two engineers and initiated the process to blacklist the contractor. An inquiry revealed grave negligence, technical faults, and violations of safety norms. The incident, which damaged a tower and four cabins but caused no injuries, occurred on December 26. The ropeway project, aimed at boosting tourism to Rohtasgarh Fort, is being reviewed by experts from IIT Patna for quality and design audits.
