Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is enhancing Namma Metro services by deploying an eighth trainset on the Yellow Line, reducing peak-hour frequency from 10 to 9 minutes and off-peak intervals from 18 to 14 minutes. BMRCL plans to add 96 new trains across lines, aiming for a four-minute frequency to ease crowding, especially on the Purple and Green lines. While expansions are welcomed, some commuters and public figures have criticized delays in deploying available trains and called for prioritizing frequency improvements.
